Date Change for June Meeting
Tuesday, June 24th is the revised date of our next meeting. Because June 17th is Election Day, many of our members who are poll workers would have been unable to attend. They all want to hear Garland Favorito, our speaker who is an expert on the election process in Georgia.
Garland Favorito co-founded Voters Organized for Trusted Election Results in Georgia (VoterGA.org). Garland is a career Information Technology (IT) professional with over 40 years of in-depth experience and over 17 years of volunteer research into electronic voting systems.
After the disastrous 2020 election in Georgia, Garland was instrumental in organizing a statewide Election Integrity Network. Many members of the Lowndes County Republican Party attended a large organizing conference in Atlanta at that time, and we have continued to participate in zoom call meetings every Saturday morning since then.
Please attend to learn the history of electronic voting machines in Georgia and bring your questions. Garland is a hero to many of us. You don’t want to miss this one.
The Comfort Suites Valdosta is located at 1332 St. Augustine Rd., Valdosta, 31601. It is next to the Holiday Inn Express behind Denny’s restaurant near Exit 18 on I-75. At the traffic light, turn into the Denny’s parking lot and drive to the far back. The meeting room is accessed by entering the lobby and is on the left side.
A Meet & Greet begins at 6:00 pm and the meeting at 6:30 pm. No meal is available on site, but there is a foot path to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant behind the hotel. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
